KCAI - Kennel Club Acceditation Scheme British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers
Take time out to train your dog with Benefit
Our aim is for you to have a well behaved canine
companion and to encourage responsible dog ownership

Established in the year 2000, our instructors have experience of training and working with various breeds of dogs having in-depth knowledge of puppy training, obedience competition, pet handling, behavioural problems, sheepdog work, agility, flyball and canine movement to music. We use modern, kind, reward based methods. Training sessions are at the Staffordshire venues of Haughton and Colwich. We run six-week courses, with each class lasting for one hour. Training for Puppy through to Gold is on Saturday afternoons and Mondays evenings and on Wednesday evenings we have a puppy class with Flyball training on a Friday evening. Benefit Dog Training has Young Kennel Club Status. We pride ourselves on providing a happy, safe and friendly environment to train your dog. We run our classes with excellent instructor / pupil ratios which help deliver the best possible results.

Chris and Dave Deakin are Kennel Club Accredited Instructors (KCAI - CD) and offer mentoring and one to one sessions for student / members of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Scheme, for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour working towards accreditation. One2One with Dave is available for practical reward based training using positive, gentle corrections. Dave has been involved with dog behaviour problems for many years dealing with such issues as pulling on lead, anti-social behaviour, separation anxiety, chasing and many more.

Heelwork to Music / Freestyle incorporates obedience skills within a routine which has been choreographed by the handler to a piece of music. If you are a dog lover and enjoy music, the exciting combination of music and movement will use your creative side to formulate routines for you and your dog It keeps your dog (and you) supple and mentally stimulated and you will learn new skills and tricks

Would you prefer individual training? Would you prefer not to join a class situation? Individual training at all levels by a qualified instructor offers good, high quality training for dogs and handlers (from puppies through to adulthood) at reasonable prices and at your own home or at a chosen location. Tuition available during the daytime or evenings by arrangement.

Flyball is a fun activity for you and your dog. Once matured, dogs of any breed, age or size can take part (age limits are in place to safeguard the dog’s long term health, click on the flyball page for more details).
